My name is Stephanie Stiavetti and this is my professional website. I’m still in the process of getting this site up and running, so there is not a lot of information here at the moment. In the short term, here’s a bit about me.
I’m a San Francisco-based food writer, cookbook author, cooking teacher, and culinary media consultant. My first book, Melt: the Art of Macaroni and Cheese, is due out in October 2013 with Little, Brown & Co. The book is available for preorder now. My writing and recipes have appeared in many media outlets, including:
- Smithsonian Magazine
- Readers Digest
- New York Magazine
- The Huffington Post
- KQED’s Bay Area Bites
- Serious Eats (columnist)
- Culture Cheese Magazine
- SacTown Magazine
- The Sacramento Bee
- Pregnancy Magazine (columnist)
- The Food Mag
- This American Life
- Clean Eating
- IACP Digital Media Section (newsletter editor)
As a technical media consultant, I’ve been ensconced in information technology for nearly two decades. I have worked with such heavy hitters as LucasFilm, Pandora Internet Radio, University of California San Francisco, among others. While I spend most of my time working on my own project these days, I do still occasionally consult for select clients. Please contact me for more information.
If you’d like to hire me, please email me to discuss the specifics of the project you have in mind.
